Quinn Spencer's ProStar
ProTech Kit
Prostar Model PT-2-B

Its Hard for me to say why I picked this aircraft, you see my older brother wanted to build a plane so he did a lot of looking, and thought this would fit his fancy. The cockpit is large enough to hold a large person such as he is, and that's good for me also.

My brother sold the plane to me for the cost of the kit, along with all the other parts and pieces that went with it. I thought I might venture, I like the high lift wing, I also like the fact that I can fold the wings and put it on a trailer and take it home. It only takes about 15 minutes to set it up or fold it up. It has been quite an experience to rebuild this machine, but it has been fun and educational. The plane in my mind is going to be a lot of fun, slow stall speed, yet should cruise at 110 mph, just a fun machine.

The specks for the plane are as follows.

Take off roll 200 ft. - @ Gross Weight 300 ft
Rate of climb 1200 fpm - @ Gross Weight 1000 fpm
Cruise speed 110 mph
Stall 25 mph - At this altitude its about 35 mph
@ Gross 29 mph - At this altitude its about 39 mph
Vne 140 mph
Wing Span 32' 6"
Wing Area 137 sq. ft.
Length 18 ft
Empty Weight 1000 lb
Gross Weight 1500 lb
Wing load 9.5 lbs/sq. ft.
Glide Ratio 14 to 1
